Federal and North Carolina State Fair Housing Laws
Where we live affects almost every part of our lives—our jobs, schools, financial opportunities, and even our safety. That’s why fair housing laws exist: to make sure everyone has equal access to housing. But as society changes, so do the challenges of discrimination, and the laws have to keep up.
In this four-hour course, we’ll take a look at how federal fair housing laws have evolved over time and why they’re still so important today. As a real estate professional, it’s your responsibility to stay up to date and follow fair housing rules at the federal, state, and local levels. We’ll also cover North Carolina’s specific fair housing laws, so you’ll be prepared to help create a fair and inclusive housing market.
This course was designed to meet the REALTOR® Fair Housing Training Requirement. Please confirm that your local association, who administers the Fair Housing training, will accept this course.
